Under Efrain's Leadership the District has made great progress:
• District API scores have increased by almost 80 points
• All teachers 100% highly qualified per No Child Left Behind Standards
• Full Day Kindergarten at each elementary school
• Increased number of GATE students from 5% to 8%
• Created Technology Academy at Edwards Middle School
• Created Technology Academy at Mill School
• Science Academy at Phelan Elementary School, currently being planned
• Accountability and transparency are highly valued
• Established Curriculum Improvement Teams
• Hired new Superintendent and management team
• Secured several million dollars for school programs
• Adopted a more collaborative culture for all
